Guarantee
What Betadent Guarantees, and For How Long
Most clinics treating international patients mention a guarantee somewhere and never define it. Ours is written into your treatment plan before you travel, with the exclusions stated as plainly as the cover.
What we guarantee, in writing
You receive this in your treatment plan before you travel — not as a verbal promise at the chairside.

How to claim
What Actually Happens if Something Goes Wrong
Step 1
Message us with photographs
WhatsApp is the fastest route. Send clear photographs of the tooth and tell us when the problem started. You are talking to the clinic, not a call centre.
Step 2
We assess remotely
Your dentist reviews the photographs against your original plan and records. Many problems — a loose temporary, a rough edge — are solved by a local dentist in twenty minutes, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Step 3
If a remake is needed
We confirm in writing what is covered, then schedule the visit around dates that suit you. The treatment cost is ours.
Step 4
Travel
Flights and accommodation for a guarantee visit remain your responsibility. We say that plainly here so it is never a surprise later.
Records
You Leave With a Record of What Was Placed
This is the part that matters most in five years' time, and it is the part most often missing when patients come to us after treatment elsewhere.
Every patient who has implant treatment with us leaves with a written record: the implant system, the diameter and length of each fixture, the batch number, and the position in the mouth. Every patient who has ceramic work leaves with the material and shade used.
The reason is practical. If an abutment screw loosens in three years and you are in Leeds, a UK dentist can order the right component in a day if they know the system — and cannot help you at all if they do not. A significant share of the horror stories in the British press are not about bad dentistry; they are about unidentifiable dentistry.
If you have already had treatment abroad and do not know what was placed, send us your X-rays. We can often identify a system from the radiographic shape, and we will tell you what we see whether or not you become a patient.
What a guarantee cannot do
- It cannot cover your flights. No clinic at this price point covers international travel for a remake, and any that claims to has priced it in elsewhere.
- It cannot survive untreated gum disease. Implants and crowns fail around unhealthy gums. Two hygiene visits a year is the single biggest factor in whether your work lasts.
- It cannot replace maintenance. If you grind and do not wear the guard we make for you, ceramic will chip and the cover does not apply.
- It is not insurance. It covers our workmanship and the materials we place, not accidents, illness or changes in your own teeth.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is the guarantee in writing?
Yes. It is part of the treatment plan you receive before you travel, alongside the itemised price. If a clinic will not put its guarantee in writing before you book, that tells you what it is worth.
-
What does a lifetime implant guarantee actually mean?
It means that if an implant we placed and integrated fails, we replace the fixture and place it again at no cost for the implant or the surgery. It does not cover the crown on top after five years, and it does not cover your travel.
-
Does the guarantee cover my flights back to Antalya?
No. Treatment under the guarantee is free; flights and accommodation remain yours. We state this openly because a guarantee that quietly excludes travel in the small print is the most common complaint patients have about treatment abroad.
-
What voids the guarantee?
Smoking heavily after implant surgery, untreated gum disease, grinding without the night guard we prescribe, missing hygiene visits, and accidental damage. These are the same exclusions any UK practice applies — we simply state them before you commit rather than afterwards.
-
Can a UK dentist do the follow-up work?
Yes, and many patients prefer that for routine maintenance. You leave with the exact implant system, size and batch number so any dentist can order matching components. We are happy to speak to your UK dentist directly if it helps.
-
What if I had treatment at another clinic in Turkey and it failed?
Send us your X-rays and photographs. We cannot guarantee another clinic's work, but we can often identify what was placed and tell you honestly what your options are and what it would cost. There is no charge for that assessment.
-
How long do I have to report a problem?
As soon as you notice it. Waiting rarely improves a dental problem and often turns a repairable one into a replacement. Message us on WhatsApp with photographs the same week.
-
Do fillings and root canals carry a guarantee too?
Yes, two years against failure of the restoration or the root filling under normal function. Where the right answer is a crown rather than a repeat root canal, we credit what you paid against it.
