Overview
How Getting Treatment in Turkey Actually Works
If you've never had dental treatment abroad before, the whole idea can feel confusing — how do you get a diagnosis without seeing a dentist in person, how do flights and hotels fit in, and what actually happens once you land? This page walks through exactly what happens with Betadent, from your first message to flying home.
Nothing here requires you to commit early. You can get a full assessment and a written quote before you book a single flight.
Who This Is For
Is This Process Right for You?
This step-by-step process is designed for international patients who want quality dental work without the guesswork:
First-Time Dental Travelers
You like the idea of affordable, high-quality treatment abroad but want to know exactly what to expect before committing.
You Want a Clear Plan Before You Book
You'd rather see a written treatment plan and price first, not get a surprise quote after you've already landed.
You're Planning Around Limited Time Off
You need to know upfront how many days or trips your treatment actually requires so you can plan flights and time off work.
The Process
Your Treatment Journey, Step by Step
Here is the order things happen in, from your first message to your follow-up after you're back home.
1. Send Us Your Photos or X-Rays
Message us on WhatsApp or fill in our contact form with some photos of your teeth (and any recent X-rays, if you have them). This is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
2. Free Online Consultation
One of our dentists reviews your case and talks you through your options on a video or phone call, in plain language — no jargon, no pressure.
3. Your Written Treatment Plan & Quote
You receive a clear treatment plan: what we recommend, why, how many appointments it needs, and a fixed price — so there are no surprises once you arrive.
4. Booking Your Flights & Stay
Once you're happy with the plan, we help you time your flights around your appointments and can recommend hotels close to the clinic.
5. Arrival in Antalya
We're reachable the day you land. Many patients arrange their own airport transfer or taxi; if you'd like recommendations, we're happy to help.
6. In-Clinic Exam to Confirm the Plan
Before any treatment starts, we re-check everything in person — X-rays, photos, and your goals — to confirm the plan still fits, adjusting it with you if anything's changed.
7. Treatment Begins
We start your treatment according to the confirmed plan, at the pace that's safe and appropriate for the work being done — not rushed to fit a flight.
8. Aftercare, and Follow-Up After You Fly Home
You leave with clear aftercare instructions and a warranty on your treatment. We check in with you during healing and stay reachable if you have questions once you're home.

How Long Does Dental Treatment in Turkey Take?
The most common planning question, and the answer depends entirely on the treatment. Typical durations, assuming no complications:
- Teeth whitening: a single appointment, 1–2 hours. One trip of 2–3 days is comfortable.
- Veneers or crowns: normally 5–7 days in one visit. Preparation and scans on day one, try-in mid-week, final fitting at the end. You leave with the finished result.
- Dental implants: two visits. Roughly 3–5 days for surgical placement, then 3–6 months of healing at home while bone integrates, then 5–7 days for the permanent crowns.
- All on Four / All on Six: 5–7 days for surgery and a temporary bridge, then a second visit of about a week after 3–6 months for the final bridge. See All on Four & Six.
- Root canal treatment: usually 1–2 appointments within the same few days.
Why implants cannot be done in one week. An implant has to fuse with bone before it can carry a permanent crown. That is biology and it cannot be shortened by paying more. Any plan offering final crowns on brand-new implants inside a single week should be questioned — our guide on checking a clinic explains why.
Between appointments most days are free. Treatment is typically scheduled in the morning, leaving afternoons open — see why Antalya for what the city offers around it.
FAQ
Common Questions About the Process
-
How many days do I need to stay in Turkey?
It depends on your treatment. Teeth whitening or a check-up can be done in a single visit of a few days. Implants, All on Four/Six, or full veneer cases usually need two visits a few months apart, or one longer stay of 7–10 days if your treatment plan allows it.
-
Do I need to come to Turkey twice?
For implants, sometimes yes: once to place the implant, and once a few months later once it has fused with the bone, to fit the permanent crown. We'll tell you upfront in your treatment plan whether your case needs one trip or two.
-
What if something needs adjusting after I fly home?
We stay in touch after you leave and ask for photo check-ins during healing. If an adjustment is needed, we'll advise you by message or video call, and if it requires an in-person visit, this is covered under your treatment's warranty on your next trip.
-
Is the online consultation really free?
Yes. Sending us your photos or X-rays and getting a written treatment plan and quote back doesn't cost anything and doesn't commit you to booking.
